Individual comment link

I´ve just learned that Latest Comments use a direct link to each comment. What about modifying the line "written by XYZ 1 minute ago" to "This is written by XYZ 1 minute ago" and use "This is" as a individual URL to the comment?

Ouch! Bad grammar: This WAS written ...

The variable $comment_id has to be placed somewhere in function fill_smarty of ./libs/comment.php of v9.5 IMHO but I have no clue where exactly.

make sure you do some reading (search through the forum or wiki) on how to modify the templates.

to modify the template, you don't edit the php file, instead, navigate to templates/yget and open comment_show.tpl with a text editor.

i have no clue where you want this or how you want to implement it so i can't give you the exact html coding, but i think you can figure it out how to do it from there (assuming you know a bit of html)

just find where you want the comment-link to appear and wrap link tags around it.

for example:

<a href="#{$comment_id}">This is</a> written by blah blah blah.

I think this will get you the link to the comment, not sure if this is what you are looking for:
same as above <a href="{$url}#{$comment_id}">

Thank you both for your help! It works but I want to have it shorter like the story ID in latest comments to quote it in another story . Therefore I´ve replaced $url with $story_url of sidebar_comments.php - without any success.
