I'm trying to figure out how to code a button for blogs that says "pligg this" so that visitors can just hit the button to bookmark things and go straight to pligg, ideally skipping submit_step_1 I've done it successfully with delicious, wists, digg, and shadows - see here (www.treehugger.com) but can't figure it out with pligg... can anyone help?
Another cool thing would be a browser button that does the same thing, so that when I'm browsing a long, I can just hit the "pligg this" button and it bookmarks where I am.

| A "Pligg This" Button for blogs... |

I think this is an essential element for anyone relying on a community to spread their site's recognition. I am seeing "digg this" all over various technical sites.

Cool! I figured it out... mostly. It's very easy and you can see it in action on www.triplepundit.com working with www.hugg.com Go to Triple Pundit and you'll see a link that says "hugg this post". It pops you right to the second part of the submit stage, by using this URL: http://www.hugg.com/submit?url=WHATE... 69074&id=c_1 The only thing I"m not sure about is that "randkey" ... does it really matter? I could add a little thing there that makes a random number, but should I care? |

I believe you are looking for the EVB (external vote button). It should do exactly what you want. Blog Post: http://www.pligg.com/blog/index.php?s=evb Check your Pligg installation directory/api/evb.html for a quick guide to EVB. or: http://demo.pligg.com/api/evb.html or: http://demo.pligg.com/api/evb.php You will need to customize the evb.php file to be configured for your domain. |

That's excellent! THanks! One teeny thing - if you hit it and you're not logged in, it takes you to the login /registration screen which is great, but after registering or logging in it just keeps you there on the login screen instead of sending you to step two of the process - is this a bug, or a result of my tinkering? if not step two, can I specify a "Welcome screen or some kind? |
