Google Adsense Option

This is really just a reminder for myself to develop this when I finish with the template... I have a horrible memory. I think it would be a good idea to allow users to enable/disable the Google Adsense box on the site through an on/off switch in the new options file, we should also change line 7 in all_header_ad.tpl: google_ad_client = "pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"; to a variable that will allow us to edit the account number from the options menu.

Everybody refer to all_header_ad.tpl and that you should
edit this file .....

I don't even got any all_header_ad.tpl in my templates folder
how can I get one?

I think it would be really great if users could input their adsense account number on the profile modify page and then earn money from their stories. I doesn't seem like it would be too hard to do, the code would just have to check the link submitter and pull in the correct adsense number from the database.

that's a brilliant idea, but elgoog prohibits displaying too many adsense blocks per page and so the structure would have to be way controlled to prevent a block from elgoog itself...plus people might start to really game the system (eg register multiple users on any pligg site to keep voting up articles, just like on digg though they're doing it for diff reasons)

I was just thinking about something like this today.

I've seen this in action at Digital Point, very successfully too.

Google has used him as an example of how successful adsense publishers can be.
