Problems with Pliggskins services

Hi

I contact David Killian, creative Director of PliggSkins.com few months ago and got a quote for a pligg template. I paid 50% of the service and never got any of the job done after few months . I asked him to give me back my money but no answer... just that he doesn't have time, have problems... bla bla bla...

Did someone already worked with them ?

You'll understand that I don't recommand him for any job. That's definitely not serious and it'is a bad example for other freelance designer

This is one major reason - you should work with established designers and not cheap ones. But sorry for your experience - if you had paid using paypal - there is always buyer protection to get the money back - you can also try that channel to get things work for you.

I have to agree with Dollars5 above. If I were looking to buy pligg services the first thing I would check is how often they participate in the community here. If someone only has a few posts and hasn't logged in for a while, it should be a pretty good sign.

Paypal will do nothing! The money is gone. The most you could have done was file a claim but now you can't because it's over 7 days! Also if the paypal members you sent money to has no previous complaints he will keep the money!

This is a hard lesson to learn! Risks we take to satisfy our online needs! As the guys mentioned already try and stick with people known well in the forums here! I personally recommend CMSThemes for designing pligg sites!

Brian, I just checked the Paypal buyer policies - they can file a complaint guess. If the payment was done via credit card payment - I think they will need to contact the banker for a Chargeback - that will hold and revert the amounts immediate.

13.3 Filing Deadlines. He did a good job on my site, but the support or any questions I had when the project was finished was never followed up.

Lifetime support lasted One hour.

I was lucky I never paid the full amount up front I paid as and when he showed me he had completed parts of the site.

I've been in this situation with popscript.com I bought their auction script, it had many errors and I couldn't get my money back. I complained so much paypal paid me 40 USD and said sorry. I still lost 30 usd because the script was 70 usd at the time!

It's a lost cause.... Nice to know about the 45 day rule! Overall I say the money is gone!

It may be a difference of opinion but I worked with David recently on my Pligg skin for....

I found his support even after I had paid him was more than you could ask for. Without trying to start any arguments David has been quite ill recently and has fallen behind with some work but he has been putting long hours in to try and deliver on orders outstanding, I might just have been one of the lucky ones at the top of the list but like I said even after he was paid in full he still offers enough support if I need anything doing.

I took up this allegation with David. He replied me in writing. His explanation of the issue was reasonable to me.

I have therefore sent him 50% of my project payment.

I will come back to tell you guys my experience with him after my project deadline, 10 days..

This David Killian from PliggSkins.com is a well known Scam.

I know i'm not only the customer who paid him and got nothing since
few months.

It's a time to report him to authorities...
