Adding permanent Link to Header

Hi,

i have some trouble with my template on my site.

I want add some static links in the header. Unfortunately, this will only be displayed if the user is logged.
My second problem concerns the sidebar.
The sidebar is very big and rises in the Footer, I have the value min: 850px;changed to min-height:1750px; in the main.css. this works for Firefox but not with the IE6.
