      Hi everyone!

      I've got a working version of pligg for iPhone! Pretty much like the one on digg's!

      Demo:
      Pligg Beta 9 / Published News

      You can test it here:
      TestiPhone.com - iPhone Application Web Based Simulator

      As you can see, it's based on yget colour theme.

      Please if you're interested, send email to pligg2iphone@sergiolopes.name

      Thank you!

    It looks nice. I assume I can tweak the colors and images. My question is this. Since it runs as a mini-application... do I have to change all the settings when I change them on my other version?

    Big fan

    Hi there. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that working with Se'rgio on getting this template installed on my Pligg was a great experience.

    I love the template, love how it works on my iPhone, and hope to go live with the whole site in a week with a g3 phone template day one!

    Se'rgio did the work for me. Helped my work through all the details online, and was very quick in getting the whole template prepared.

    Thanks,
    Rick

    I've been trying to purchase this from closer, but he stopped responding to emails after I asked where to send money to... lol

    Evidently Sergio was really sick, but we got back in touch and I purchased this template from him. He's been soo awesome helping me get it installed properly, highly recommend.

    also, this iPhone version works pretty decent on other smart phones as long as they have a decent browser built in.

    about how much does this generally cost? Will users still be able to use the "search" feature on my site?

    Serg quoted me $37 but I paid him $50 cause he's been super helpful. Currently search functionality does not exist, but I think you could be able to add it in without much headache. My only wish is that people could register and post their stories/comments from the iphone. My site is different and is not for sharing links, it relies on people typing their stories... I may add this in the future once I figure a few things out. What I love about Serg's mobile "plugin" is that it's actually a separate site, so the tpl's and themes are completely unique, and can be altered heavily without affecting your main website.

    For anyone that has previously purchased this, here are a few things you should add that will make the mobile app experience a lot better on the iPhone.

    meta.tpl
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=320; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;"/>

    pligg.tpl (in the head tags) (this will hide the Safari toolbar at the top)
    {literal}
    <script type="application/x-javascript">
    window.onload = function() {setTimeout(function() {window.scrollTo(0, 1);}, 100);}
    </script>
    {/literal}

    And here is the code you put into your head tag, so that if someone bookmarks the site to their home screen on the iphone... then you can use a custom icon (57x57)... it will automatically include the "gloss".

    Home Screen AppIcon
    <link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="icon-location.png"/>
