Registration and user groups

New users

Normal user registration is automated and immediate. A unique username, valid email address and password, and an optional CAPTCHA test are required. Successful registration takes the new user to their Profile page.

New users can also be created by a God administrator (see Administrator Guide).

User groups

Three user groups for registered users. Unregistered visitors can browse the site and optionally vote anonymously.

Normal - default group for automated registration, can submit stories, vote, comment, modify password and personal data on personal profile page, optionally upload a custom avatar

Admin - in addition to Normal privileges, can edit stories, ban story source URLs, change story status (published, queued, discard), disable users

God - superadmin: access to Admin control panel (see Administrator Guide).
