File and MySQL Backup

Pligg offers a built in File and MySQL backup utility to allow you to easily make a backup of your site files and database.

How to use File and MySQL Backup

To use this tool, first log in as a "god" level user then navigate to your Pligg Admin Panel.
Click on "File and MySQL Backup".
You will then be presented with three options:
  • Backup all files (except avatars)
  • Backup avatars
  • Backup database
Clicking on any of these three options will generate a .zip archive or .sql file and a link will be displayed under "Previously created backups" so that you can download the files to your computer. After you have downloaded the files, click on the "Remove all the backups listed below" to delete them from your web server. This will prevent unauthorized users from accessing them should they discover the timestamped url.
