Red face Problems with the header.tpl

Hi there,

I've some issues with the modification of the header.tpl.

In Ie6 (see attachement: 1.jpg and 2.jpg) :
- The search box is not aligned with the menu.
- No space between the menu and the first module of the sidebar.
- The footer is not properly put up.

In Firefox (see attachement: ff.jpg):
- The same two first problems as Ie6.

Thank you in advance for your help and sorry for my horrible english

I know the css thing but the problem is that I don't understand how the templates work.
For the footer I tried to apply a clear:both but that doesn't seem to solve the problem.

I've tried several templates and none worked for me, if it's not caused by the template itself it's the french words that are too large for the template.

Please help me if you know the solution, thanks.
