All the color settings are in the CSS file.

I wanted to do the samething. I checked in the css file as chuchroast has pointed out. But i couldnt see anything there to change the color of the yget template. Then i found out the background color(brown) in yget template comes from the image files.

1. Should i change the color in the image files in order to change the yget template color?

2. Which software is good to do this? (The image files have white at the top and gradually change to brown. I guess this is grading. I want to get the same effect)

1. Yes, to change a lot of the colors you will need to edit images.
2. Try out Gimp or GIMPshop for editing your images. The grading effect you're looking at is called a "gradient". Google around for tutorials if you need help with working with GIMP, it's a lot like Photoshop.

The background is in the CSS, it's the first few lines.

* {margin:0;padding:0}
body {padding:0 0 20px;background:#fff;color:#333;font:83%/1.5 arial,tahoma,verdana,sans-serif;margin:0 auto; width:90%}

Some areas do use images for certain background areas such as the sidebar boxes.
But for the most part, all the font colors, body colors etc are located in the CSS...

For example
#content-wrap2 {background: #fff;position:relative;min-height:1050px; height:auto;margin:0 20px 0 20px}
I just wanted to clarify this, so others don't get confused and think everything is an image.

I managed to modify the images with PhotoShop. Just made some quick adjustments, just to make things look different.

But, I have been unsuccessful in getting an X axis repeating image to work in the background. I need more help with this one.
