CAn you remove the Category box from the sidebar?

I tried removing the category box from the sidebar, but it broke using categories everywhere else.

I tried that, but then I get this when I go into Admin->Category Management:

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argumented is expected to be a valid callback, '' was given in /class.template.php on line 694

for each category. Seems the tree building code needs the categories sidebar module loaded.

Can anyone else reproduce rcrespin's error? Because I removed the sidebar categories on a test site and the category manager still works fine.

I was able to reproduce this error. However, after clearing the files in templates_c this problem was resolved.

For some reason I was getting the call_user_func_array(): error on my search page.... and clearing the templates_c as mentioned above fixed it....

Thank you. That was buggn me bad.

Why does it casue that error though? It seems other things cause that error too from previous posts. be good to know how to fix it.

Try a different approch:
Delete or rename ./templates/yget/sidebar_modules/categories.tpl.
